The Federation $5 banknote features Sir Henry Parkes, a prominent politician often referred to as the ‘Father of Federation’; and Catherine Helen Spence, who led the way for women's rights in Australia. It was issued in 2001 to commemorate Australia's Centenary of Federation.

$10 Commemorative banknote


The Commemorative $10 banknote, issued in 1988 to celebrate Australia's bicentenary, was Australia's first polymer banknote. One side symbolises European settlement. The other side symbolises the original discovery and settlement of Australia some 40,000 - 60,000 years earlier.
