To keep our banknotes among the safest in the world, the Reserve Bank is introducing the next generation of Australian banknotes.
Now in circulation is the new five dollar banknote.
It has many innovative security features including a distinctive top-to-bottom window.
And to assist the vision impaired community, there’s also a tactile feature.
Importantly, all existing banknotes can continue to be used.
